The Happiest Place on Earth: Disneyland, 2022
2 years later, my full Disneyland recap is here! This was the most incredible trip I have ever gone on and I am counting down the days until I can go back!
Here’s how it all went down:
Day 1: Valen and I woke up extremely early and caught a flight to LAX! We were some of the first to arrive so we headed straight for In-n-out to see what all the hype was about before the rest of the crew arrived. It was delicious (from what I remember, lol)!! After that, we headed to our hotel to get changed from the travel morning and into something a little cuter and cleaner, and then we met up with everyone! We got settled in our room, we stayed at the Howard Johnson Anaheim (just a few minutes walk to Disneyland) and it was a great experience! We ended to night exploring downtown Disney and got dinner at a rooftop restaurant before watching the fireworks from our balcony.
Day 2: We started out our second day bright and early and headed into Disneyland! This was such an iconic day and so exciting for so many of us — we all had frequented Disney World and Magic Kingdom many many times but going to Disneyland was an entirely new experience for almost all of us!
People don’t lie, the Disneyland castle is teeny tiny in comparison to Cinderella’s Castle in magic kingdom, but it was so quaint and cute! We did as much as we could this day and I think my favorite parts were Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise and just seeing it all decorated for fall!
We rode Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, Small World, Haunted Mansion (with the holiday overlay!), the carousel, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones among so many other rides!
We finished out our evening at the Blue Bayou restaurant, a cajun inspired restaurant that the pirates of the Caribbean ride actually runs through so it was super neat to see it from both angels, and the food was absolutely delicious! After dinner, we found a spot for Fantasmic and explored the park at night for a bit!
Day 3: Our final full day in Disneyland! Today was one of my most highly anticipated days as I am a HUGE avengers fan and everything about California Adventure was just truly incredible!
We woke up early and filmed some tiktoks after getting ready (obvi) before heading straight for California adventure! Upon arriving in the park, we stopped at Starbucks and picked up some merchandise and coffee/breakfast to get our day started! I got the iconic Disneyland tote bag which I love soooo much.
We then headed straight for Avengers campus and I literally thought I might pee my pants from all the excitement, I was in complete shock when I turned the corner and saw it all for the first time. We spent a while in avengers campus just exploring, I got some signatures for my ears and had some incredible experiences with characters, we watched the spider man show, rode guardians of the galaxy: mission breakout and of course took tons of pictures. This was truly the highlight for me!
Post-avengers campus, we headed over to take some photos at the ~iconic~ mickey Ferris wheel! The park really wasn’t that crowded so we got some awesome photos!
We then headed into lamplight lounge for lunch and this was delicious! I think this was some of our favorite dining from the California part of the trip! It had such a great view of Pixar pier and was a really unique dining experience!
After lunch, we headed further down Pixar pier for some more rides! We started on incredicoaster which was incredible ;) Such a thrill and so cool that its so close to the pier! Then onto the Pixar pal-a-round (the Ferris wheel) and we went on the ones that swing which was soo crazy! After that we concluded our time on Pixar pier with the rotating swings and headed over to Cars land at sunset. We wanted to be there when all the lights came on and it was so cute and special to be there for this! We ended cars land with radiator springs racers which was an absolute BLAST!
Finally, we watched world of color over the water at the pier and it was so so beautiful! Overall, it was truly an incredible day and I loved every single second!
That’s a wrap on our 3 days in Disneyland — will truly NEVER get over this trip!!
Stay tuned for part 2 coming up… Hawaii!!
